Court Judgment in the UK
Usually it will be the creditor who will make the application for an attachment of earnings order as a way to enforce an already-in-place county court judgment or other court order. Contractual interest is interest that the lender can claim on top of the county court judgment amount if it has not been added on at the start. In theory the lender could get another county court judgment for the amount that is claimed in regard to contractual interest as it will be classed as a separate debt.
